Angelica Candido is a Filipino-Canadian painter, poet, and author whose work weaves together spirituality, storytelling, and place. Rooted in lived experience and a deep curiosity about human connection, her practice explores themes of memory, identity, healing, and transformation. Her book Interconnectedness brings together art and poetry as a meditation on these themes, offering pathways for reflection and renewal. Candido creates spaces for contemplation and connection, using art as a bridge between emotion, creativity, and shared experience. Her work has been featured at Clark Centre for the Arts, Dignam Gallery, and Ada Slaight Gallery, and she was a finalist in the 100 Kellogg Art Competition. She has received support from the Ontario Arts Council, JVS Toronto, The City of Brampton, and the Brampton Entrepreneurship Centre. Candido holds a Bachelor’s degree in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University.
