Alexia Bascillo
Alexia Bascillo is a Toronto-based mixed media artist working across painting, sculpture, installation, and digital media. Her practice explores material experimentation and visual storytelling through layered, object-based works that combine painted surfaces with physical materials.
Her work often moves between personal intuition and constructed form, exploring themes of transformation, imagination, and connection.
Bascillo has exhibited in group exhibitions including Leslie Grove Gallery (April 2025). Alongside her studio practice, she documents and expands her creative world through Instagram (@_.area213), where she shares her portfolio, TikTok for behind-the-scenes content, and her YouTube channel THEAREA213º, which features artist interviews and collaborative projects. She is currently developing independent projects and expanding her practice through new work and future exhibitions.
