Alice Peters
Hello, my name is Alice Peters, I am a transwoman born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I studied Photojournalism at SAIT, which blossomed into a passion for photojournalistic approaches to conventional photography, and inspired me further to pursue different streams of photography. I have been skateboarding for 2 years and in that time my camera has never left my side. I am a Skate Coach with 100% Skate Club YYC which is a Women and Gender Diverse skate group built to create a safe space for Women and Gender Non-Conforming people at the skatepark. I am a board member of Droppin' In YYC which is a Queer and BIPOC, Non Profit organization. Droppin' In was built to create safe spaces for BIPOC and Queer people at the skatepark and encourage everyone to try skateboarding for the first time or perhaps retry skateboarding again. Currently, I am enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at SAIT on course to graduate, 2027.
