Anne Frances Cairns

Mixed Media

Anne Frances Cairns is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist from Bowmanville, Ontario (just East of Toronto). She has been creating art since she learned to hold a pencil, and has been working as a professional artist since she was sixteen years old.

With a primary focus on feminine portraiture, Anne typically uses a stream-of-consciousness method to create her pieces. Going in with no real plan, the pieces reveal themselves as she works, often teaching her something about herself and what her subconscious may want to express.

More recently, Anne has had the opportunity to paint multiple large-scale murals across the city, as well as one in Portugal. You can view her work on her Instagram handle, @aaaaaaaaaaaaanne (with 13 a's).
