Avi Giovanni
Avi Goodman is a greater Toronto area-based illustrator and painter who specializes in experimental and unconventional stylized visual art. Growing up, he was inspired by the great range of creativity and textures utilized by children's picture book illustrators.
His work spans many mediums, including digital, ink, graphite, multimedia/collage, watercolour and acrylic paint, and explores overlapping intricacies of beauty, horror, sexuality, drag, and gender; combining unsavoury elements of the world around him with stunning, distorted reflections of glamour. When he isn't painting or illustrating, he splits his time between the library and the club, where he becomes Organelle, a drag queen organism born from a love of makeup artistry and a since-childhood adoration for playing dress-up.
Currently, he attends OCAD University, where he pursues a Bachelor's of Design degree.
