Carmela Casuccio
Carmela Casuccio is a Canadian artist whose work has been exhibited widely in galleries and juried art shows across the Toronto area, as well as nationally and internationally in the United States and Europe. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections around the world.
Carmela's work is driven by a commitment to originality and a desire to remain true to her inner vision. Her current series, Dimensional Realms, explores the interplay between the physical depth created by molded watercolor paper and the abstract dimension of space within each piece. Each artwork extends beyond the flat surface, creating a tangible landscape of vibrant colours with folds, ridges, and contours encouraging viewers to engage with the work from multiple angles, each offering a new perspective and deeper understanding of the piece's narrative.
For Carmela, painting is a means of seeking and uncovering timeless spaces that feel at once mysterious and familiar, as if revealed by magic.
