Laleh Rasaee is a Toronto-based Persian calligraphy artist, instructor, and creative lead. She is a certified Persian calligrapher, graduated from the Association of Persian Calligraphers in Iran in 1996, and holds a Master’s degree in Visual Communication from the University of Art in Tehran.With over 27 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years in packaging, graphic design, and marketing, Laleh brings a refined understanding of composition, branding, and visual communication to her artistic and educational work. Before moving to Canada, she taught art in Iran for 10 years at art schools and college-level programs.From 2011 to 2024, she led the Persian Calligraphers Association of Toronto. Her work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. As the founder of Chalipa Art Centre, Laleh connects Nastaliq calligraphy with mindfulness, teaching it as both a visual art and a meditative practice that cultivates patience, focus, and inner calm.
