Charity Ruten

Hello! My name is Charity Ruten, I am a multi-media artist. I create with oil, acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, pencil, ink and sometimes a combo of the above. Oil paint is my favourite and most used medium. I sell my own original work and prints. My favourite style is abstract realism and that brings out my natural tendency to exaggerate the colours I see in brightness and saturation. I want to capture people's love for the things around them while sparking their imagination with extra colour. Passion takes over my creative process when I'm capturing the raw emotions in motherhood and the beauty of the earth and its creatures. Another aspect of my work is creating custom orders for my clients. My goal is to help them realize their vision. I love to bringing people's ideas to life. I do all this while homeschooling 3 creative children, I'm married to a supportive husband. We live on an acreage just outside of Westlock. I often paint the nature outside my window. Life is good.
