Claire Finucan

My name is Claire Finucan (she/her) and I am a twenty-four year old multimedia artist residing in Ottawa, Ontario. My work explores how objects, things, and actions can carry the narrative in a piece and express emotions of behalf of the artist. I often use figurative imagery to explore trauma and the nuances of adolescence. Using juxtaposition between colours such as black, white, and red, I touch upon darker themes such as disgust whilst attempting to convey humility. My practice is deeply symbolic and attempts to tell a story about growing into grief as a young person.
