Clare Thorbes Fine Art
I’m a Yukon-born visual artist. While working as a translator in Ottawa, I experimented with dance, couture, piano and singing. I devoted myself to visual art after moving to Victoria, where I studied with Glenn Howarth, RCA for five years, and completed a studio-based program at the Victoria College of Art. I’ve exhibited regularly in group shows since the year 2000, most recently at Art in the Park in the Glebe in 2025. My work is in private collections across Canada. My home base is now Ottawa, where I am focusing on portraiture and floral paintings.
