Photography for me is both a form of art and a form of activism. Over the years I have switched the focus from seeing photography as a means of making money to a means of starting conversations. Photography as a means of enacting change.
By creating beautiful, sincere and sometimes abstract images of nudes, erotica and kink I attempt to shift the wider belief that our bodies are something to be ashamed of. That our sexuality and the kinks we explore are something to be guilty of. Something to hide away. I would like to change our societal outlook that our bodies are inherently sexual and need to be covered up and hidden. While at the same time wanting to show that in an appropriate setting and with consent, our sexuality is nothing to be ashamed of. Rather, something to be celebrated and explored.
