I am a landscape artist from Manitoba, Canada, and I draw inspiration from nature everywhere I go.The pace and intensity of the modern world are entirely too much for me, and painting began as a way to escape. Painting landscapes, I feel a connection with nature that reminds me to focus on what is real. Tangible. Forget the expectations, judgements and influence of everything and everyone else, and just breathe.When I’m in my studio, I imagine the smell of damp earth and the feel of the warm, dewy air on my skin. Take a deep breath, and everything else falls away. My shoulders drop, my jaw relaxes, and my heart is free. I feel steady and grounded, and all is right with the world. This is where painting takes me, and it brings me such joy to share what I create with those around me.

Being a professional artist is a dream come true for me. I've been a painter most of my life, and it was only in 2025 that I decided to turn it into a career. There are so many opportunities for artists, but they all have costs associated with them, and keeping funds in the operating budget can be challenging at the beginning when income is inconsistent.
