Gleb Odyn
My name is Gleb. I'm a mixed-media artist from Toronto, and outside of my art journey, I work full-time as a graphic designer at UHN Hospital.
Creativity has always been mixed into every part of my life, from building Lego as a kid, analyzing restaurant menu spacing, to choosing which beer to try based on the design at the LCBO.
I got into mixed media after a Euro trip in 2022, when I visited an old friend in his music studio in Paris (he's a DJ). There was a piece of art on his wall that I’d never seen before, made out of ripped advertising posters, layered and composed into a beautiful abstract piece. I wanted to take it home with me, but it wasn’t for sale. Still, it sparked something inside of me. After that visit, I started collecting posters from the next countries I visited, not knowing it would become the beginning of my journey as a mixed-media artist.
