Hirlaender Art

Visual Art

Ursula Hirländer is an abstract realist artist. Her work is a fusion of layered mixed media and oil paint, blending depth and texture to create striking compositions. The heart of her artistic focus are female portraits.

Before fully immersing herself in fine art, Ursula spent a decade as the head of the millinery department at the United Theatres in Graz Austria.
But art, as she puts it, "didn’t leave me a choice." She later pursued her formal art education at the Milan Art Institute, reigniting her lifelong passion.

"My art is a pursuit of beauty, a delicate dance between the elements—texture, line, depth, and contrast—woven together in perfect harmony. These visual components are my passion, and I strive to express them with intention in every piece.

Through constant experimentation, my work has evolved into a fusion of abstract realism, where dynamic mark-making, spray paint, and even touches of gold leaf create a striking interplay between chaos and precision.

What Your Support Makes Possible
This work is not finished when it leaves the studio. It’s part of an ongoing practice. Right now, I’m focused on developing new paintings that go deeper into the themes I keep returning to. Presence, nature, and the inner landscapes we carry. I’m working toward a new body of work, preparing future exhibitions, and building stronger connections with collectors and community spaces. Support helps in very practical ways. It allows me to invest in materials, studio time, and the space needed to work consistently. It also gives me the freedom to experiment, take risks, and develop ideas without rushing them. What matters most to me is building real relationships around the work. Meeting people who connect with it, sharing the process behind it, and creating opportunities for the art to be seen and experienced over time.
