Jennie Belaiev

Visual Art

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Thornhill, ON specializing in bright interpretations of reality. My work examines reality through a lens of omissions, exaggerations and humor to connect with the viewer. My most recent works, executed primarily in acrylics and watercolors, focus on mental health and self acceptance.I am a self-taught artist with over 20 years of experience. I continue to experiment with different mediums increasing my skills and expanding my knowledge and means of expression. In 2025, I participated in the “Intersections” group exhibition by Arts Etobicoke. This exhibition focused on connections between disability, mental health and cultural Identity in which the flawLESS series participated. I had pieces displayed in the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts as part of the Richmond Hill Art Walk event and one of my portraits was featured in the “Portrait Artist of the Week” global online series by UK’s Portrait Artist of the Year TV show.
