Johanne Richer
Johanne Richer, a native of Montreal, is a visual artist who is deeply involved in her community. She has accumulated a wealth of experience and knowledge in various areas, including training in painting, dance, and music, which serves as a guide in the creation of her works. A figurative painter, she uses oil as her medium. Movement is her guiding thread and forms the backdrop of her work. She intertwines creativity, spontaneity, freedom, and restraint to draw out all the subtleties associated with dance. Johanne exhibits frequently in Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick. She has more than 100 exhibitions to her credit. She was co-presenter of the visual arts component of the Arohafine Arts Festival, events co-presented by the National Arts Centre, Arohafine Arts, and the Shenkman Centre.
