I’m a self-taught artist whose work explores female identity, belonging, and the pressures of social expectation. I’ve worked across sculpture, acrylic, and now oil, following the medium that best serves what I need to express. My current series, Not for Your Consumption, examines how women and girls are shaped, valued, and consumed through roles and archetypes such as bride, mother, and daughter. Drawing from my lived experience as a woman, single mother, and expatriate, my work considers what it costs to be pleasing, useful, or made for others. Across my practice, I return to questions of home, displacement, vulnerability, and resilience, creating work that claims space and invites viewers to confront how women are seen and how they are taught to see themselves.
