Kiana Sheldon

Visual Art

My name is Kiana Sheldon, and I’m a graphic designer and artist living in Toronto. Beyond digital design (my day job), I’m a multidisciplinary artist, working across multiple mediums including acrylic and watercolour painting, illustration and collaging. Over the last 4 years, I’ve connected most with collaging as a means to express myself. The lens through which I create is unique and important for me to acknowledge. I’m the youngest of 4 sisters, I grew up on a blueberry farm, and I’m currently navigating life in the city. I draw energy and inspiration from friends and family, my Ojibway culture, music, writing and poetry. My work explores themes of human connection, love and sex, culture, political commentary, nature and humour. I aim to create honest and interesting pieces that feel personal and relatable. I’m eager to meet more artists and immerse myself into the Toronto art community.
