Mark Doyle
Mark Doyle is a representational artist based in Etobicoke, Ontario. He works with acrylics on canvas, painting from reference photos, exploring a variety of relatable subjects, including nature, still life, and urban scenes.
Born in Halifax, to a professional oil painter, Mark learned to draw and paint in the family living room, which also served as his mother's art studio near Gananoque, Ontario. He took his inspiration from the beautiful rural surroundings, including the lakes, islands, rivers, trees, and farmland. By the age of 12, and under his mother's tutelage, Mark sold his first oil paintings.
After university, Mark pursued a career in finance and, upon early retirement, was drawn to painting once again. Mark's paintings are exhibited in several locations in Etobicoke. Mark also participates in juried exhibitions across Canada.
