Matthew Mark (MCM)
Matthew Mark (MCM) is a contemporary Canadian visual artist. He's known for his work within the Metamodernism age. A first-generation Chinese Canadian, MCM is a multifaceted individual whose practice bridges painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. His art explores the duality of light and dark, and eveyrthing else in between drawing from personal experiences and pop culture to create figurative and abstract mixed-media pieces that are both spontaneous and deeply symbolic.Influenced by Fauvism and Expressionism, MCM aims to craft meaningful art that probes the human condition in the 2020s and beyond, merging tactile techniques with contemporary themes. His work has gained international recognition, with exhibitions in New York City, Miami, Las Angeles, London, Paris, Vienna, Rome,Milan, and more. A highly awarded emerging artist, Mark received the 7th International Art Prize Leonardo da Vinci (2025) and The Premier Artist Prize.
