Melina Cossío
Mexican-born visual artist based in Canada. Her work explores movement, memory, and the emotional landscapes of everyday life, often through transitional urban and natural spaces. Trained in contemporary stained glass and oil painting in Finland and Chile, she has collaborated on large-scale mosaics and environmental projects. Her recent series, inspired by childhood road trips, examines displacement, belonging, and transition, inviting viewers to engage with shared memories. Cossío has exhibited widely across Canada, receiving awards including Best Landscape at the Pelham Festival and the People’s Choice Award 2025, and actively contributes to the arts community through workshops, juried shows, and collaborative projects.
