Monarch's Magical Art
Michele Johnston is mostly a self-taught artist who has been exploring the arts in many different facets from a young age. Although she is an Intuitive Artist, training under a few well known local artists set Michele on her journey as a painter. She works mostly with acrylics, but loves incorporating natural materials and lots of texture into her paintings. Her connection with the natural world is her inspiration, and much of her work is driven with the intent on speaking on behalf of Mother Earth, and contributing to humanity. She was proudly a part of Artists Against The Mega Quarry and Soupstock, where several of her paintings sold with all proceeds going to each cause. When it comes to art, Michele’s first love is using it-along with nature connection, as a powerful healing tool. She is trained in the field of Expressive Arts Therapy. She uses a variety of arts-based activities in natural settings to help women with self-discovery, self-expression, and self-empowerment.
