Pink Banana Sparkles is the colourful amalgamation of whimsy, compassion, celebration and pride, presented through a wide range of artistic mediums. The artist behind Pink Banana is Shannon Sebert, and she uses her own journeys through life in real-time as inspiration. She unashamedly focuses on self and body love, compassion and understanding to create a collection of pieces that she hopes will then inspire others to start (or continue) their own journeys of self love and compassion.She is out and proud as a queer, polyamorous sex worker, while also raising her daughter as a single mother- and her work reflects this, whether it’s through large scale acrylic nude paintings, or Anxious Shark plushies and everything in between.The world is hard enough, and Pink Banana Sparkles just wants to offer a colourful, and compassionate alternative to that.
