Ruobing Liao
Ruobing Liao is an oil painter based in Burlington, Toronto. Her work is characterized by vivid colors and dynamic compositions, exploring the female body, emotional states, and subconscious experiences. Drawing inspiration from dreams and personal introspection, her recent series employs thorny plants as symbolic elements, reflecting themes of harm, vulnerability, growth, and the psychological complexities of intimate relationships. Through expressive color and form, Liao creates emotionally charged visual narratives that blur the boundaries between reality and inner perception.
