Sahel Manochehry

Visual Art

Sahel (b. 1997) is an abstract contemporary artist based in Toronto, Canada. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, her art explores emotion, movement, and the unpredictable beauty of creative expression. Born in Tehran, Iran, and now rooted in Toronto, Sahel is a self-taught artist who refines her craft through experimentation, mentorship, and curiosity. Her process embraces imperfection, allowing paint to flow freely, capturing fleeting thoughts and emotions in each layer. Deeply inspired by life’s highs, lows, and quiet moments, her work becomes a visual diary of transformation. For Sahel, the joy of creating lies in both the freedom to explore and the acceptance of the unexpected. Her pieces invite viewers to step into her world, connect with their own experiences, and find beauty in the unknown.
