Selin Celebi
I am an abstract artist with a background in science. My work reflects emotions and inner states we often struggle to put into words. I work with acrylic and mixed media on canvas, building surfaces in layers. Colour is central to my work. I am interested in in-between moments like tension, uncertainty, vulnerability, and change where feelings are strong but language falls short.
I place bold, electric tones next to soft, quiet ones to create contrast and energy against stillness. I’m drawn to the tension between what is revealed and what remains concealed. I want to leave space for personal interpretation. I want viewers to pause, sense, and connect with the work through their own stories, to feel something personal, unexpected, or familiar.
