Hi! My name is Wendy, I’m 31, live close to Toronto, and I do various forms of art. Not sure where to begin, I paint, use multiple mediums such as acrylics, uv resin, polymer clay, wire wrapping, digital art in terms of illustration, 3D design and other experimental art forms.I am a trained tattoo artist, began and completed my training as an apprentice in 2019, at what is now closed, but previously called “Oblivion Ink” in Markham. I also work with audio-visual forms of art, videos that explore colour, projection art and music.As for music, I also compose mostly orchestral and piano pieces. Currently exploring perception in the way it interacts with various people in and from different and similar backgrounds.Formally, I used to work as a behavioural therapist, which I spend my other time now writing as well since working as a freelance artist.I have selected a few of my current digital works, scaled to print as of now. Wendy Liu is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist working across digital illustration and experimental media. Their digital works explore perception, spatial distortion, and psychological interpretation through bold color structures and surreal compositions. Their art also produces short perspective-shifts that subtly alter how viewers read depth and symmetry within the images. By introducing movement into otherwise static works, her practice investigates how perception, angle, and observation can transform the meaning of a visual system.
