Todd Ramsay

Visual Art

Todd Ramsay was born and raised in Kelowna where he took every art related course possible in high school, followed by 3 years of Fine Arts at Okanagan College. In 1999, Todd enrolled in the Classical Animation program at Vancouver Film School. He has worked in the animation industry since 2000 as an animator, designer, director, instructor and owned his own animation studio in Kelowna, Yeti Farm Creative. The studio employed hundreds of artists who worked on shows such as Pete the Cat and Hotel Transylvania.

With a need to explore art outside the confines of commercial animation, Todd revisited his Fine Arts roots and started painting again. He primarily works with acrylic on canvas, pen and paper but also creates in the digital space. Todd’s influences range from the cartoony puppet world of Jim Henson to more contemporary artists both past and present.

Todd currently works from his studio in Kelowna, BC.
