Tyler Scott
My paintings explore liminal subjects — moments of transition where place, memory, and emotion overlap. I'm drawn to roads, shorelines, walkways, and other in-between environments where stillness and movement coexist.Using muted colour, softened forms, and restrained light, I aim to create atmospheres that feel remembered or experienced rather than observed. These spaces hold quiet tension, balancing light and darkness, clarity and ambiguity. My work invites open interpretation. Rather than describing a specific narrative, I’m interested in how viewers bring their own experiences, memories, and emotions into the image.
