Yuliya Stefanska
I am a mixed media artist working across collage, oil, acrylic, and charcoal. I build layered worlds from magazine imagery, fabric, newspaper, and found materials — assembled intuitively, driven by colour, pattern, and a subconscious that leads the way before I do. Born in Ukraine, raised across Prague and Canada, my work is rooted in memory, identity, and the ongoing act of self-discovery. My piece Harmony - a vast layered collage of bold colour and shifting pattern - says it plainly: there is always more to find if you look. I believe colour is comfort and happiness to the brain. I make work for anyone who wants to step inside a painting and get beautifully, happily lost.
