Yuri Kaplunovich

Visual Art

Yuri Kaplunovich is a multidisciplinary Canadian visual artist whose practice encompasses bronze and stainless-steel sculpture, mixed media, painting, drawing, and works on paper. His figurative and symbolic imagery explores the emotional and spiritual relationship between humanity and the natural world, often unfolding through surreal, dreamlike narratives and myth-inspired forms. Kaplunovich’s work is characterized by a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, materiality, and surface, combining traditional and experimental bronze casting with contemporary fabrication techniques.

Influenced by mythology, symbolic storytelling, and direct observation of natural textures and processes, his work integrates organic forms, ornamental detail, and expressive gesture. Kaplunovich has exhibited internationally in Ukraine, Belarus, Israel, and Canada, and his work is held in private collections across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. He lives and works in Perth, Ontario, Canada.
